SUBJECT: ANTITRUST DOCTRINE, COMPETITION POLICY, AND INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE

MR. WEISER: It is a pleasure to be here to visit with the antitrust bar and explain my role at the Department. Though it has been only four months since I returned to the Department, there is already much to look back on and much to look forward to. Today, I will briefly discuss what we have done and what we hope to do in three principal areas: (1) the development of legal doctrine; (2) the promotion of competition policy; and (3) the advancement of international cooperation and convergence. ...
